Joe Burns - Director of Athlete Recruitment and Education

Top Prospect Network is proud to announce Joe Burns as the Director of Athlete Recruitment and Education. He will assume the lead role in TPN’s Student Athlete Recruiting Education Program on the national level. Burns will be directing Recruiting Education Seminars across the country to educate athletes and parents on what it takes to get recruited and make the life changing transition to college.

Burns brings a proven track record of helping prospective Student Athletes achieve their goal of playing at the collegiate level.  Among Burns’ accomplishments in the athletic recruiting field is RisingSeniors.com, for which he is a Co-Founder.

Along with his experience and background in athletic recruiting, Burns also brings an undeniable passion for helping Student Athletes to succeed.  He has a level of drive and determination which will prove to be a tremendous asset for TPN and our clients.

TPN Recruiting Education Seminars

TPN provides Recruiting Seminars as part of our Student Athlete Recruiting Education Program.  As one of his responsibilities at TPN, Joe will head up this service.  These educational seminars are provided onsite at your High School or athletic venue at no cost or for a minimal travel fee, depending on your location.  Anyone wishing to schedule one of these events should contact Joe Burns at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The Joe Burns Story:

Joe Burns was born and raised in Thomasville, Georgia – home of The Thomas Country Central Yellow Jackets. While a student athlete at Central, Burns’ team was fortunate to win three state championships in four years. Unfortunately, the story at Central was not all victory. The talent level of those playing with Burns was undeniable, however few of Burns’ teammates were able to play at the collegiate level. As the championships would imply, athletic talent and capabilities were not the question – information was. Burns was honored by winning the Georgia Player of the Year both his Junior and Senior years, as well as being selected Honorable Mention for USA Today All-USA and so received the necessary publicity and visibility to be offered a full scholarship to Georgia Tech. Once again a proud Yellow Jacket, Joe began making contributions to the team during his first year, ultimately becoming an All-ACC running back in his junior year. After only three years, Joe became the fourth leading rusher in Tech’s history and second in scoring with 34 touchdowns. Following Tech, Joe went to the NFL and played for the Buffalo Bills for four consecutive years.

However, through all of his success Burns truly believes that college was the difference-maker and he feels that more of his high school teammates would have had the same opportunity if they had more information about the recruiting process.

This is why Joe has joined the Top Prospect Network team.  Through TPN, Joe will now have the opportunity to help numerous young men and women, on a national level, realize their dreams of playing collegiately.
