Atlanta Legacy 2012 - A Recruiting Success for Players and Colleges
The Atlanta Legacy Showcase has grown into what can only be described as one of the premier recruiting venues in the country. The 2012 tournament included 176 Fastpitch Softball Teams on hand to showcase their talent in front of the 302 College Coaches in attendance.
This Showcase Tournament has truly become a National Recruiting Event with some of the best fastpitch talent in the nation on hand to participate. This becomes evident when you look onto one of the fields during the tournament and see a Worth Firecrackers (Blanco) team battling it out with the Atlanta Vipers (Berry).
The colleges present at the tournament also represented all areas of the country. A quick glance at any field during the tournament was proof that the coaches were there to recruit. College Coaches from a total of 28 states were in attendance. Anytime you look around and see names like Arizona State, Florida, and Missouri, among others, watching the games, you know the showcase has matured into a top tier venue.
An important part of the recruiting process is participating in these types of recruiting events. The key to recruiting success for any prospective softball recruit begins with getting on a quality travel team which participates in this type of showcase event on a regular basis. The next step is consistently contacting the college coaches to let them know you are interested in their softball program and school. That is where a service such as TPN can help tremendously.
TPN was honored to be on site at the Legacy Showcase. We had well over 250 current TPN clients participating in the event. It provided an opportunity for TPN to meet and work one on one with many of our current clients.
